Hey, this is Maria from WIAB. I’d like you to post this :) There are plenty of differences between scamming and the song confirming we do. I’d like to begin by saying that the song confirming is done mostly by a dear friend of us, Natalie, who does have out of circulation songs. That being said, I’d also want you to know what sometimes our help is needed, because Mitchell knows a lot about out of circulation songs, and sometimes (this happened recently) people who sound exactly like Taylor cover circulating songs that have out of circulation versions and we all listen to it to make sure that it’s a fake version. Now, the main difference between scamming and what we do is that people know that it’s possible that we get a song we don’t have. It’s up to them whether to send them or not. We don’t make anyone send us songs, we don’t even ask to. We may recommend it, but we have never, for once, asked someone to. We don’t lie, everything’s crystal clear. You don’t have to send us a song. If you don’t think that what we do is correct, don’t send us any song and there won’t be any disadvantage for you. I just wanted to make it all clear.

Note: I was going to make this distinction earlier because I have before been involved with others confirming songs via WIAB, but I hadn`t yet had the chance to message anyone and make sure this and I can also confirm they don`t take songs they don`t have without the owner`s consent; in most cases, they match the person with someone who can verify the song for them.
